Scripps Networks Interactive (Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, etc.) is seeking a web professional who is interested in a full-time position as a digital media specialist. This individual will focus on our portfolio of media/entertainment brands and will be part of an internal digital agency team responsible for the day-to-day management of media advertising campaigns.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Analyze daily media campaign performance using online tools (including Omniture SiteCatalyst/Search Center, Google AdWords Editor, etc.).
- Create & deliver reports on an ongoing (daily, monthly, ad hoc) basis that analyze key metrics, benchmarks, and other KPIs in order to discover changes necessary to increase the overall success of each digital media campaign.
- Examine granular level data for the emergence of trends or anomalies.
- Conduct media research and discover additional opportunities to drive traffic to Scripps' portfolio of sites and promote network priorities.
- Research new and innovative tactics for acquiring and expanding digital customer base.
- Consult and advise key stakeholders with regard to digital media best practices and guide them through implementation of proposed changes/enhancements to their sites
- Assist in the construction of presentation materials, incorporating current industry research and trends.
- Serve as a first point of contact for potential new digital media vendors.
- Manage media creative assets (banners, ad tags, etc.) across systems.
- Maintain current industry knowledge including relevant research studies and trends.
Position Requirements:
- Experience in measurement of metrics and their impact on budgets.
- Experience with financial/ media buying calculations such as revenue, return, cost per thousand (CPM), and cost per click (CPC).
- Some experience in web data analysis (uniques, page views, visits, etc.) is a plus.
- Should possess a basic understanding of search engines, online advertising, general website usability, and ad trafficking.
- Should possess some knowledge of HTML, PHP, SQL reporting.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing is preferred
Skills/Abilities:
- Complete proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Competent in a Mac OS X environment
Strong analytical reasoning skills
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated presentation ability
- Strong understanding of basic marketing principles
- Curiosity and a passion for knowledge are essential
