Bookbyte/Salem, OR (www.bookbyte.com)A passionate, experienced writer with great communications skills is needed to create and manage the distribution of content across the various social media initiatives of Bookbyte as well as actively interacting with and engaging customers. This role will require an applicant who is capable of producing original editorial content as well as managing marketing promotions that holistically engage Bookbyte customers and constituents in a way which communicates the company's story and mission and drives brand advocacy. The applicant will also be expected to periodically aide the marketing team when content generation and various marketing initiatives are needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
�?� Researching, writing and managing editorial content to be distributed across various social media outlets such as Facebook, Bookbyte Blog, Twitter, etc.
�?� Interacting with Bookbyte customers via social mediums (including addressing customer feedback/complaints) and aligning the Bookbyte voice with corporate objectives and current Marketing promotions.
�?� Performing and managing various marketing tasks including, but not limited to, local off-line marketing initiatives.
�?� Writing and distributing press releases.
�?� Developing content for use in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay per Click (PPC) advertising and the Bookbyte.com website.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related degree
OR
Three years technical or higher-level experience directly related to the position under recruitment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
�?� Fluency in speaking, reading, and/or writing English.
�?� Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
�?� A wide-range of writing techniques to inform and persuade different audiences with various levels of comprehension.
�?� Experience with all major current social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Blogs.
�?� Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
�?� Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
�?� Ability to make decisions in a timely manner.
�?� Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic, fluctuating work environment.
�?� Ability to understand and follow written and spoken instructions.
�?� Organizational skills.
�?� Proficiency in using a computer running Microsoft Windows XP/Windows 7
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
�?� Successful applicant must submit to post-offer, pre-employment drug screening and background check.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
�?� Work is normally performed in a typical office environment.
�?� Must be able to lift objects weighing no more than 50lbs.
�?� Occasional travel commitments.
�?� No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
