Responsible for strategic and tactical development of social media planning and with the integration of all Initiative's services.


The Associate Director, Social Media manages and executes social initiatives; working in partnership with internal media planning and buying teams, partner agencies and external vendors; ensuring all initiatives are coordinated.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for driving social media work for clients, including plan development, strategic expertise and execution, and measurement of social programs.
Function as the senior client contact, leading strategic and tactical online planning activities.
Identify and define social media opportunities for clients as they align with their digital marketing goals and strategies.
Accountable for the quality of all social media plans/strategies/services delivered to clients as well as client satisfaction.
Work closely with and advise client teams and other internal social media experts on execution of social media programs and new business opportunities.
Stay current with all Social Media industry developments and best practices
Set realistic client expectations and make every effort to exceed them, providing quality work in a timely manner.
Develop project plans, manage and execute specific social media initiatives, programs, campaigns

Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and vendors
6 - 10 year's experience in account management with a concentration in Media, Marketing or Public Relations with a recent emphasis on Social Media
2+ year's experience managing or developing a staff
Demonstrated expertise and experience in the social marketing space.
Deep knowledge of all aspects of the social space: platforms, vendors, measurement, content creation, media, technology, UX.
Understand and can utilize some of the emerging platforms and social media measurement tools including: Awareness, Radian6, Sprout Social, Seesmic, Tweetdeck, Klout.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Blogger, Facebook, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr, Linkedin etc.)
Strong knowledge of content development, optimization (Blog, Articles, Tweets, Images, Video).
Strong interest in emerging digital media trends with a strong knowledge of the social media landscape and toolsets
Experience/involvement in new business planning and presentations preferred
