Reporting to the marketing lead for Dolby's Mobile business, this role will contribute customer and market insight into to the overall development and management of Dolby's long-term strategy in the mobile market place through the execution of a successful marketing and promotion strategy, worldwide. This role will be focussed on communicating and promoting Dolby's technologies into the content side of the mobile eco system, principally Content Service Providers and Mobile Operators, where Dolby's technologies enhance the entertainment experience with immersive and exciting audio, including surround sound.
The successful candidate will be a strong marketer, with a global outlook and a good grasp of underlying technologies used in providing multimedia content to mobile devices; someone who has proved they are able to present and promote new mobile content propositions to market with associated revenue growth; someone who can demonstrate a passion for communicating exciting propositions and products that will grow Dolby's business in providing great audio on any content enjoyed on mobile handsets; someone who either has gained experience outside of the US or can demonstrate an ability to think and work globally.
Responsibilities:
Thoroughly understand the current mobile content ecosystem, and its drivers (through experience, research, customer contact and global intelligence gathered from Dolby's staff and partners around the world).
Present and promote customer propositions for Content Service and Mobile Operator customers based on Dolby offerings that add value to multimedia content experiences in mobile content services today. Take responsibility for their execution
Provide all �??Go to Market�? plans for promoting Dolby's technologies into mobile content services.
Implement any consumer-facing partner marketing programmes and tactical promotions through close work with partners.
Provide and coordinate specific in-market support, supporting external partners and Dolby's global sales teams.
Devise and implement industry-wide promotional efforts to ease adoption of Dolby technologies.
Devise and co-ordinate PR opportunities
Create materials for all the above
Manage events for all the above
Develop a roadmap for Dolby's Mobile marketing and promotional propositions into the future, taking into account new opportunities as well as new products and technologies Dolby will bring to market.
Contribute to the team's business plan for growth in the Mobile market
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in Marketing and Promotion in Mobile, ideally developing compelling propositions for Operators and Content Services.
Graduate degree in a commercial discipline (e.g. marketing, business) or a technical discipline (e.g. engineering, IT). Note that this role requires a blend of both technical and commercial skills.
Demonstrable excellent communications, verbal and written; someone who can communicate credibly to customers on marketing and promotion and can represents technology in a way that marketing professionals will consider as an informed expert.
Ability to develop valuable professionally relationships with customers and partners.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams and to build strong network of contacts and communications both inside and outside of Dolby
Proven problem solving skills.
Domestic and international travel required
