JOB DESCRIPTION
Join a fast growing international television Digital Media team and work on websites from all over the world! Reporting to the Director of Product and working closely with the Director of Technology, Manager of Ad Sales, regional site managers, and third-party vendors, the Producer candidate will work closely with the Sony Pictures Television Networks International business and oversee site operations, overall site health and productivity on a day to day basis.
A successful candidate will be highly analytical; work in a global cross functional team environment and be an expert at project management and scope assessment in an agile work flow. Proven proactive organizational skills and the ability to use hard data and metrics to develop business cases are essential. Must be a self-starter, highly organized, be driven to create quality product, and have a keen attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Live Site Operations
�?�Oversee global product rollout plan and lead team to completion
�?�Task assignment and management for design and development teams
�?�Coordinate graphics production and integration
�?�CMS entry and editing as needed
�?�Proactively assess milestones and rebalance priorities on-the-fly
New Product Development
�?�Lead product development for projects from start to finish. Manage scope, deliver on milestones, and ensure all teams have the information needed to make informed decisions
�?�Develop request for proposals, project plans, product specifications, technical documentation
�?�Manage and direct third party vendors and developers to successful product completion
�?�Concept and deploy new global products that support regional strategies
�?�Manage budgets, insure vendor payment and identify financial efficiencies
Team Management
�?�Lead weekly client meetings with regional partners and daily project status meetings with operations teams
�?�Set priorities for site ops teams from a strategic and business perspective
�?�Understand business needs and priorities and help choreograph product rollouts to support regional teams.
�?�Provide key point of communication for regional clients. Manage regional expectations concerning product development and capabilities.
�?�Collaborate with operations team to fine-tune standard operating procedures and increase efficiency
�?�Write and publish client communications such as status reports, roadmaps and presentations
�?�Advise regional clients on best practices and troubleshooting
REQUIRED SKILLS
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
�?�Solid understanding of website building technology and infrastructure
�?�Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
�?�Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate technical issues and report project status to a diverse non-technical audience
�?�Experience and professional interest in managing and mentoring teams
�?�Working knowledge with web design for usability principles and best practices
�?�Ability to perform simple edits to HTML code and create basic web pages.
�?�Keen interest in digital pop culture and emerging technologies. (Web 2.0, Mobile Products, Social Media, and Entertainment Sites.)
�?�Experience using web analytics and working with research teams
�?�An enthusiastic user of new technologies
�?�Must be a self starter who is able to work independently and communicate back to the team. No micro-management required.
�?�Must be interested in TV
�?�Must be a team player and cover different areas of responsibility as necessary in order to reach goals
�?�Multi-lingual a plus
�?�Occasional travel may be required
�?�Technical knowledge involving project development tools such as Drupal, JIRA, CSS & Brightcove.
�?�Must maintain an entrepreneurial mindset
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Experience Guidelines
�?�4+ years of college level education or equivalent work experience required, Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business or related field desired.
�?�At minimum 3 years of experience leading web-based development projects, 5 years digital projects.
oExperience managing interactive or custom web development teams is a must
oExperience managing remote teams is desired
oExpertise in Drupal 6.x or a similar CMS is required
oExperience with Agile and SCRUM is a bonus
