Job Title: eCommerce Lead SEO Marketing Associate
Location: Flagstaff, AZ
Summary:
We are looking for a lead SEO to work on and run our various SEO projects. Your main role as lead SEO is to assist in creating and fully executing our brands' strategies to get us in front of the search consumer in every point of their purchase decision. To do so, you will be building and maintaining relationships with our brand marketing teams. We believe that a good lead SEO has building a relationship as their top priority.
The lead SEO with Deckers has a varied and challenging day. Responsibilities range from daily reporting, managing on-page factors, content creation, link building, and working side-by-side with our brands in creating long-term search strategies.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating and executing our brands' strategies within on-page factors:
o Keyword Research
o Creating & optimizing page titles
o Creating & optimizing meta-descriptions
o Content (creation & coordination with brands)
o Internal linking
o Advising IT and development teams on SEO-friendly technologies, page load speeds, robots usage and XML sitemaps
o Navigate search analytics tools to analyze KPIs (experience with Omniture is a plus)
Responsible for executing our brands' strategies within off-page factors:
o Link-building
o Monitoring social media impact on SEO & advising brand teams of such
o Keeps up with latest algorithm changes and continually modify recommendations and best practices with regards to on & off-page factors
Business management, including:
o Reporting & analysis
o Keeping up-to-date with latest industry trends, technology and changes
o Weekly department meetings
o Weekly calls with SEO vendors
o Business travel
o Budgets and forecasts
Qualifications:
o Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field preferred
o 2+ years of SEO experience preferred, related SEO certifications a plus
o Web design, development, or programming background preferred
o Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of organic search, the industry, and best practices in this industry
o Experience working in a B2C e-commerce setting
o Highly analytical
o Technical web design and/or front-end development skills
o Excellent copy-writing and grammar skills
o Exhibits strong organizational skills
o Exceptional Excel skills
o Experience with Omniture preferred
o Experience with DemandWare preferred
