Intern Sushi drastically reinvents and reconstructs the intern application and hiring process to connect the brightest, most talented interns with top companies in the hardest-to-break-into industries.
We are looking for a Social Media Strategist (though we kind of hate that title because what does it really mean) to design and execute social media campaigns to translate our business objectives into socially adept interactions. We have a massive opportunity to ignite social conversation and drive our entire business through online communication. It's not only knowing how to skin a Facebook page, but it's also communicating with our audience in a creative, engaging way. We want to be blown away with the idea generation and innovation you can bring to this position.
Our social networking site has a fun, sophisticated and innovative vibe, and we're looking for someone who would be described similarly. The ideal candidate is sharp, enthusiastic and is one of those people who when he/she doesn't know something, will figure it out. We are looking for someone with a great personality, who works well with others and who adapts and excels in a fast-paced, changing environment. Applicants should be creative, inventive and have exceptional writing skills.
Responsibilities:
Social Media campaign design and execution, including contests.
Manage the daily presence of 10-15+ twitter accounts for the brand, as well as our Facebook, YouTube and other relevant pages.
Create and manage an editorial calendar to ensure content is approved and released on time.
Prepare weekly updates and reports for high level management to track growth and success rates of campaigns.
Collaborate with and execute social strategies pitched by our PR firm to compliment PR campaigns.
Keep up to date and inform on new social media trends and adapt accordingly.
Work with management to ensure proper messaging is being executed online.
Research and identify social media best practices.
Community listening, outreach and conversation
Identify leaders and influencers and engage them in brand activities.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
1- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Relevant experience across key social media sites including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Digg, Flickr, FourSquare, Vimeo, Tumblr, Posterous, etc.
Strong grasp of baseline online marketing and can integrate social media marketing with all: SEO, Web Site Analytics (Google, Omniture, Compete), Web Site Design & UI, Landing Pages, ROI Analysis, PPC Campaigns, Content Development, Domain Research and Selection, Blog Platforms, Technologies and Processes.
Understands and can utilize emerging platforms and social media measurement tools including: Awareness, Radian6, Sprout Social, HootSuite, Seesmic, Tweetdeck, Klout, Peer Index, etc.
Ability to help shape core marketing focus: customer acquisition, leads, revenue generation, branding, engagement, CRM.
Strong knowledge of content development, optimization (Blog, Articles, Tweets, Images, Video) and how to cross promote across social web.
Excellent writing, grammar and copywriting skills.
Possess a true passion for the social media marketing space.
Bachelors degree.
