The Social Media Coordinator will assist in the Company's day-to-day social media efforts including content creation, monitoring and engagement. This individual will be highly knowledgeable of current technologies and platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Trip Advisor.
The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
Utilizing monitoring vendors to monitor social media sites in �??real-time,�? and assist in formulating responses to Facebook and other social media platforms with the help of the appropriate property leaders and the Communications team.
Assist in reporting social media metrics and the overall tone of Ameristar's presence in social media, bringing to light any pressing or reoccurring issues.
The social media coordinator will help in collaborating with Marketing, Communications, Human Resources and Information Technology to deliver content and create engaging conversations on Facebook and to respond to questions.
The social media coordinator will assist in maintaining the consistency of brand messaging and voice across all social media platforms.
The social media coordinator will assist in answering questions in �??real-time�? and work closely with the social media manager and the communications team in accordance with our Communication Plan and Policies.
May assist the Communications team on other projects as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a four-year college degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
Previous marketing, editorial, and/or PR experience.
1+ year of creating, executing and measuring a company's social media efforts.
Solid understanding of digital communications.
Excellent knowledge of and experience with multiple major social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Foursquare, blogging, etc.) and travel/hospitality review sites such as Trip Advisor.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate interaction with all levels of personnel within the Company.
Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
