Xbox LIVE Global Marketing Manager - Retail Program Innovation
Are you ready to help change the retail landscape for Microsoft? The Xbox LIVE Retail Subscription Marketing team is looking for a Retail Marketer to expand the Xbox LIVE Pre-Paid Channel! Xbox LIVE continues to grow at an astronomical rate, recently surpassing 35 million members across thirty-five countries. With aggressive growth plans over the course of the next several years, we are looking for a seasoned retail marketing manager that will help drive Retail Program Innovation for the Xbox LIVE Subscriptions and Microsoft Points business.
The ideal candidate for this role has experience with new product/program development, including evaluating and making recommendations on new pricing models, product line extensions, new go-to-market business models, and new form factors, as well as strong background in Operator Channels (Telco/Cable provider) and Retail. This requires a strong grasp of retail financial structure and incentives, product COGS, as well as experience with mapping innovation to short and long-run business objectives. In addition to being able to outline and prioritize program requirements and interdependencies, you have experience with delivering marketing inputs to model financial impact.
You will integrate with existing Xbox LIVE Retail Subscription Marketing team members who are focused on the �??base' business, including advancing the penetration of already-developed retail form factors. You will also collaborate with Finance/Accounting, Legal, Operations, our Business Team, Product Planning, Research/Business Intelligence, WWRS, regional/subsidiary leads, and other key stakeholders to evaluate, test, and execute against Retail Program Innovations that meet business and local region/market needs. This collaboration will extend to working directly with involved external partners, including retailers, distributors, suppliers, and more.
We are looking for someone with strong quantitative skills and a successful track record of identifying and executing against innovation opportunities, preferably in a retail setting and/or in relation to a retail product. This role requires a strong knowledge of the challenges and swiftly evolving nature of the retail channel, particularly as it continues to change in an increasingly digital world. Experience working in a global capacity is preferred. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge and wants to join a fun team!
Key Accountabilities
�?�Establish and adjust Xbox LIVE Retail Program Innovation roadmap to meet short and long-run business objectives
�?�At a per program level:
oIdentify and prioritize program requirements and interdependencies
oAlign affected regional/subsidiary leads and, as necessary, external partners to test or rollout plan on required time horizon
oPartner successfully with Finance/Accounting, Legal, Operations, our Business Team, Product Planning, Research/Business Intelligence, WWRS, regional/subsidiary leads, and other key stakeholders to test, execute against, and track Retail Program Innovations
oDrive marketing modeling of financial impact of each Retail Program Innovation
oMake and support recommendations on discontinuance, adjustment, or expansion of each program
�?�Work cohesively and effectively with existing Xbox LIVE Retail Subscription Marketing team members to develop and articulate all-up Retail GTM plans by quarter, half, fiscal year, and long-range plan horizon
�?�Keep abreast of and publish retail program innovations across key competitors, like industries, retail channels, etc., functioning as SME on import of such innovations to the Xbox LIVE retail Subscriptions and Microsoft Points business

�?�Quickly develop a point of view and work plan re: the Xbox LIVE Retail Program Innovation roadmap
�?�Develop effective engagement and engagement cadence with Finance/Accounting, Legal, Operations, our Business Team, Product Planning, Research/Business Intelligence, WWRS, regional/subsidiary leads, and other key stakeholders on Innovation projects
�?�Work collaboratively with rest of Xbox LIVE Retail Subscription Marketing team to meaningfully map Innovation projects to short and long-run business objectives
�?�Align internal and external partners as needed to successfully test, execute against, and publish results of each Innovation program
�?�Be acknowledged as the go-to person on the Xbox LIVE Retail Subscription Marketing team re: the evaluation of and driver of forward-progress on Innovation projects
�?�Be data driven and ROI-focused in driving profitable decision making
�?�Be a great team player, demonstrating co-operation and transparency in working with global, country, and other key stakeholder teams across the organization
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1)Essential Experience
�?�Solid project management experience and general business savvy
�?�Strong retail marketing and retail value chain acumen
�?�Ability to analyze and synthesize data from a number of sources in order to shape and clearly communicate a strategic point-of-view or recommendation
�?�Experience with strategic and marketing planning
�?�Must have Retail and Operator Channel experience.

�?�Advanced experience in strategy formation, cross-group communication, and marketing modelling of financial impact of projects
