Job Title: eCommerce Lead Search Engine Marketer (SEM)
Location: Flagstaff, AZ
Summary:
We are looking for a lead Search Engine Marketer (SEM) to work on and run our various paid search (PPC) campaigns. This position's main role is to assist in creating and fully execute our brands' strategies to get us in front of the paid search consumer in every point of their purchase decision.
The lead SEM with Deckers has a varied and challenging day and will be responsible for executing a strategy to help our brands of all sizes grow. With that come duties of all sizes from geeking out on data to ad creation and optimization to the bigger duties like landing page optimization and to the largest of all duties in working side-by-side with our brands in creating long-term paid search strategies. To get this done effectively, this position must ask lots of great questions, be innately curious, and communicate, communicate, communicate.
The lead SEM is held to strict Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) goals within managing a multi-million dollar budget.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting in creating and executing our brands' strategies within day to day management of PPC:
o Keyword Research
o Ad creation & optimization
o Ad group creation & optimization
o Match type optimization
o Monitoring Search Query Reports
o Managing PPC campaigns for local flagship stores
o Managing PPC campaigns for mobile users
o Landing page optimization
o Managing PPC spend to a strict ROAS
o Navigate search analytics tools to analyze KPIs (experience with Omniture is a plus)
o Act as a subject matter expert, maintaining a high level of knowledge in SEM strategies and tactics for paid programs
o Implementing and managing automated bid management
Responsible for assisting in creating and executing our brands' strategies within the day-to-day management of Display advertising:
o Develop seasonal media buys targeting our consumers in every point in the purchase decision
o Work with Brand & Web Creative teams to develop necessary creative
o Manage display buys to strict engagement and ROAS goals
Business management including:
o Reporting & analysis
o Keeping up-to-date with latest industry trends, technology and changes
o Weekly department meetings
o Weekly calls with SEM vendors
o Business travel
o Budgets and forecasts
Education/Experience/Requirements:
o Bachelors Degree in Business or related field preferred
o 2+ years of SEM experience preferred
o Bing AdCenter certification a plus
o Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of paid search, the industry, and best practices in this industry
o Experience working in a retail/e-commerce environment
o Highly analytical
o Excellent copy-writing and grammar skills
o Exhibits strong organizational skills
o Exceptional Excel skills
o Adwords experience a must
o Digital and/or online media buying experience preferred
o Experience with Omniture preferred
o Experience with DemandWare preferred
