ROLE OBJECTIVE: Work closely with the Director of Interactive Communications to guide content management, execute communications, increase user engagement, develop documentation, gather and analyze metrics, manage issues and represent users in key projects to maintain and enhance Avery Dennison's interactive internal communication capabilities, primarily via the employee intranet portal, InfoXchange, and suite of internal social networking tools, InfoXchange Connect.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Content Management
�?� Look for ways to better accomplish InfoXchange communication goals through layout & content
�?� Manage content improvements and editorial process for top level portal sites
�?� Work with content managers to shape strategic content
�?� Run monthly content manager meetings, providing advice/support for page layout and content/information organization on the portal
Communications
�?� Coordinate messaging, timing & execution of key leadership messages on InfoXchange
�?� Coordinate with corporate and business unit/functional internal communications professionals to highlight key news items and drive traffic to the portal and social networking tools
User Engagement
�?� Manage and participate in user communities that share information and promote use of InfoXchange and InfoXchange Connect
�?� Work with Communications professionals & content managers to answer employees' content and use questions and deal with issues on a day-to-day basis
�?� Partner with IT to respond to user feedback from AD InfoXchange and InfoXchange Feedback boxes and other user feedback sources
Documentation
�?� Document user and content management policies & processes (issues management, workflow, measurement, guidelines, templates, measures)
Metrics / Analysis
�?� Run reports & conduct analysis of portal & social networking metrics
�?� Analyze monthly metrics reports to identify improvement opportunities
Project / Issue Management
�?� Conduct research, provide requirements input and manage the user experience for technology improvement projects including major portal and social networking releases, LCD screens, video distribution, jamming events, etc.
Position Requirements: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Travel: Will vary, up to 20%

Bachelor's degree preferred �?? communications, marketing/public relations or a related discipline �?? with three to seven-plus years of broad-reaching experience implementing and managing internal communications programs. The right person for this position is someone with energy and vision, highly organized, skilled in working with people at all levels of an organization and juggling multiple priorities, and able to collaborate with others while pushing hard to ensure that project goals are met.

Must be a quick learner with a passionate interest in and experience with managing employee intranet portals and using social networking tools. Excellent writing and communication skills are also required. Must be a quick learner who can pick up new tools and concepts and be able to articulate their use and benefits to others. Experience in change management (i.e., helping employees adjust to new technologies, new ways of working and thinking) is particularly helpful. Experience with global company and diverse cultures are preferred.

Necessary skills include high level of proficiency in all Microsoft office products and preferably Lotus Notes, as well as various methods of electronic communication and social networking tools (including blogs, communities, intranet content management tools, webinars, etc.). Must have proven ability to influence and counsel others with a high level of integrity, able to face any situation in a calm and professional manner.

Other qualities include strong organizational and project management skills, ability to operate independently, intellectual agility, high comfort level with change. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of commitment, flexibility, self-motivation, self-confidence, assertiveness and superior interpersonal skills.
