Title: Technical Producer
Type: Contract
Duration 12+ months
The Technical Producer will be a driving force behind developing and launching events and applications across a number of technology areas. The Technical Producer will interface with technologists, architects and Site/Brand Producers and 3rd party technology partners to launch groundbreaking, engaging interactive programs and events. They will also interface with sales/marketing to effectively incorporate sponsorship into interactive and mobile campaigns.
We are looking for a talented, motivated and detail-oriented individual who can take responsibility for large projects and guide them from infancy to launch. The individual must possess strong communication skills and be able to work effectively with creative individuals, business and legal representatives and technologists. They should be a versatile player, able to adeptly participate in brainstorm sessions with executives and work with production teams in all aspects of web and product development.
The Technical Producer must have at least two years' experience within the web and TV industries and possess a passion for interactivity and for television programming in general.
Candidates must possess the following skills:
Proven track record with developing and launching web and broadband applications and products
2+ years experience in the web and TV industries
Thorough technical understanding of web-based technologies, including frameworks, multi-tiered and enterprise-based environments
Excellent Project Management skills and experience managing multiple large deadline-driven projects simultaneously
Experience creating operational processes and optimizing for efficiency
Excellent organizational skills
Strong oral communication and presentation skills
Work experience with broadcast television networks and keen understanding of the television business
Experience working with design technologies
Experience with broadcast television technology (character generators, scheduling systems, encoders, etc,)
Experience with interactive television and cable/satellite technology
Experience with a variety of mobile applications including SMS, WAP, Mobile games, etc.
Experience with Agile/SCRUM
Experience with technology product development
Experience with interactive media projects
