Upstream Marketing
Your Responsibilities:
The Sr. Consumer Marketing Manager is involved in the identification, creation and management of business relationships with select companies to develop solutions and/or create complementary products/services. Defines mutual goals and objectives, and builds awareness and support of overall strategic benefits of the allliance. Provides financial analyses, long-range forecasting and analysis studies associatd with potential alliances/partnerships
Responsible for leading the global new product development process from ideation to launch planning. This challenging position offers an attractive balance between strategic thinking and �??hands on�? work. Requires the management of numerous stakeholders and ongoing interaction with all levels of management. This position is responsible for driving product innovation, which is the primary catalyst for company growth. It requires application of the entire grand management toolkit, including creative thinking, insight development, financials, market planning, Marcom development and manufacturing insights. This position is typically a catalyst to advanced local and potential global job opportunities.
- Develops long-term marketing strategies to growth Sonicare business through new products and marketing initiatives
- Develops business plans, manages budgets and the innovation timelines to meet business creation objectives
- Works with global Market Research and Regional Marketing Managers to develop consumer insights relevant to innovation projects
- Works collaboratively with Regional Marketing Managers, marketing Communication and Dental Professional Marketing Teams to develop global deployment strategies and tools
- Represents the voice of the consumer on the product innovation team working collaboratively with partners in Market Research, Marketing Communication, R & D, Clinical Affairs and Regional Marketing Managers from concept creation through global launch. Responsible for ensuring the end product meets the requirements of the validated concept
- Maintains collaborative partnership with Regional Marketing Managers to collect and synthesize industry trends, competitor profiles, market feedback and product sales performance into future business opportunities
- Some travel required
Your Profile:
- Experience with strategic alliances/partnerships is a must.
- Strong strategic thinker, solid organizer and an excellent communicator to numerous audiences, including senior management as well as internal and external customers.
- Displays an entrepreneurial mindset towards the product, processes, organization and the market at large.
- Be able to act as a team player who successfully creates an environment that inspires and motivates others
- Bachelors Degree, preferably in a Marketing discipline. MBA desired
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years progressive experience in New Product Development/Ideation, Brand/Product Management within a Consumer Package Goods company. Experience with professionally endorsed products is desired, but not mandatory
- Demonstrated Product Development experience from concept ideation to product launch
- Demonstrated competency in consumer insights development, launch planning and marketing communications development and execution
- Demonstrated leadership within a matrix based organization that has resulted in a track record of creative solutions.
