S.P. Richards Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Genuine Parts Company (GPC:NYSE), distributes a wide spectrum of business products to office products resellers throughout the U.S. and Canada. These products include consumable office supplies, office furniture, computer supplies, consumer electronics, and janitorial and breakroom supplies from all of the major industry manufacturers. SUMMARY: Achieves Lexmark Brand's short-range and long-range business development objectives through leadership and planning. These objectives include planning sales and marketing activities from conception to implementation within S.P. Richards' traditional and non-traditional product marketing segments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Market analysis: Analyzes and defines the market for products growth within the assigned product market segment. Maintains a served-market analysis defining the total market, company market share, competitor market share, and available market share by product market. Responsible for cross references, competitive price lists, and consumer pricing comparisons.
Forecast: Provides the data to prepare, update, and control forecasts covering projected new-business sales, existing sales and proposal activities, and investment requirements by SPR.
Marketing and business planning: Develops and executes marketing plans, proposals, business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, win strategies, and schedules. Also jointly responsible for marketing layouts, trade shows, developing and delivering collateral materials, e-mail blasts, campaign order fulfillment, and promotions of the Lexmark brand.
Training: Establishes and maintains an ongoing product training program focusing on product knowledge, placement opportunities and competitive positioning for independent dealers and sales representatives via webinars, national sales meetings, SPR's annual trade show, and regional events.
Sales: Creates and executes promotions to grow current business and win new business. Provides direction and leadership to GM's and entire sales force.
Makes dealer and end user calls with SPR/dealer representatives to assist in training and relationship building with regards to the Lexmrk brand.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing. Minimum two years marketing and/or industry experience, preferably in the retail industry or commercial office products industry.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form. Requires extensive ability to read, comprehend, create and follow a schedule with close deadlines. Ability to read and comprehend internal reports in which the content is changing frequently. Capable of presenting the Lexmark brand to internal and external stakeholders.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages. Understanding of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to organize and prioritize.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient with Excel and have an aptitude for learning Access. Preferred experience with e-mail marketing tools such as Delivra and/or Constant Contact. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) is a must. Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs. in managing equipment needed for training sessions. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. This position requires up to 20% business travel.
