The Global Manager, Social Media Marketing Analysis supports the Social Media Marketing discipline for the Marketing Global Services (MGS) at Pitney Bowes. Specifically the role serves as the research discipline portion of Social Media Marketing within MGS and for the corporation. This role continuously evaluates the business applicability of evolving capabilities of social media within B2B. It is also responsible for effective collaboration within MGS between the Social Media Marketing group and Campaign Management, Process Excellence, Insight, Internet Marketing, Production and Project Management and Database Operations/Database Analytics areas.
Key Responsibilities

* The Manager, Social Media Marketing Analysis is responsible for the practice of Social Media Marketing with an emphasis on business objectives at Pitney Bowes. Specific responsibilities include:
* Support the MGS Social Media Marketing Leader in delivering services to LOBs and Corporate marketing. These include:
* Responsible for business intelligence analysis as well as analyzing data from multiple other sources
* Identify existing trends and patterns in the data points by studying the dialog
* Identify hot issues and be able to provide real-time updates on important business issues (crisis management, etc.)
* Be forward-looking for insights that may provide a glimpse of where industry is headed (trend-spotting)
* Provide ongoing support to our team and business partners on ad hoc requests
* Develop and deliver reporting templates and analysis to include weekly and quarterly reports (enterprise) or as appropriate for both business as usual and campaign scenarios.
* Interact with other departments including product, sales, and development to generate insights, problem solve, inform marketing decisions by transforming data into knowledge
* Involved in datamining, quantitative and qualitative research, presentation of data, market segmentation analysis, database marketing analysis, return on investment for product initiatives, and customer valuation
* Work closely with insight and data warehousing teams to understand reporting requirements

Qualifications

* Proven experience in Social Media Marketing leadership roles. Documented experience on the Client side. Comfortable with "Thinker/Do-er" role
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants ( and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
* Experience must include significant documented emerging media work including blogging and vlogs, communities of interest and practice
(including 3rd party and corporate), polling and crowd sourcing and
other emerging areas.
* Hands-on proficiency with current social media platforms is critical.
* 3-6 years Social Media Marketing experience on top of 5+ years marketing communications B2B experience ideally both online and off. .
* Evidence of operational and technical innovation is highly desirable.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to present to internal and external groups.
* Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. Excellent presentation skills
* Strong business acumen and ability to work diplomatically within a highly matrixed and flat organization
* Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and deliver results
* Hands-on proficiency with current social media platforms is critical. Proficiency with MS Project, Word, XLS, PowerPoint, Outlook.
* Working knowledge of and experience with online listening platforms a plus (Radian6, Visible Technologies, etc.)
* Working knowledge of and experience with online measurement platforms a plus (Omniture, Facebook Insights, YouTube Insights, Google Analytics, comScore, Compete.com, etc.)
* Hands on experience with Omniture, a leading CMS, lead management tools, Adobe CS4 or later, campaign automation tools are preferred
* Ability to be creative in anticipating issues and in solving them..
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize: a multi-tasker.
* Ability to negotiate and conceive/create new ideas in a high-pressure environment
* Ability to comprehend business needs and translate them into a business/project plan.
* Good relationship builder
* Must be able to work within a team and lead on a regional and global basis.
* Strong motivational skills
* Ability to develop consensus within diverse groups
* Patience and diplomacy.
