The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a well defined, integrated social media strategy to foster mutually beneficial engagement with customers/future customers, employees/future employees, business partners, trade media, investors, and more in the social media space.

Major Duties:

* Implements social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the dental business.
* Guides and manages the daily functioning of the Patterson dental social media system.
* Conducts, gathers, and analyzes market research to determine social media opportunities and competitiveness.
* Develops unique value propositions, business partnerships, and social media programs that are targeted toward key Patterson customer segments.
* Monitors trends in social media tools and applications.
* Evaluates trends and separates trends from fads.
* Encourages the integration of appropriate social media applications into the corporate culture and the Company's products and services.
* Advocates on behalf of the Company in social media spaces, creating content, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
* Organizes and manages the content life cycle between social media content creators and the social media implementation team
* Regularly reports back insights gained from social media monitoring to marketing, sales and other relevant teams.
* Monitors effective benchmarks for campaigns and activity to maximize results (ROI).
* Leads crisis management efforts in regards to negative comments or inaccurate information in the social media space.
* Creates efficient, scalable processes to allow for greater amounts of meaningful communication between stakeholders.
* Facilitates effective social media / interactive marketing knowledge transfer across the Company.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Four-year degree
* Demonstrated passion and aptitude for social media/interactive marketing
* Knowledgeable on social media, SEO, SEM and website development
* 3 or more years experience in interactive marketing, advertising or public relations; B2B experience a plus.
* Team player, with the confidence to guide other departments when necessary
* Strong organizational and project management skills
* Self-starter with ability to effectively build internal and external relationships
* Superior writing and editing skills required
* Superior analytical and strategic thinking skills
* Outstanding customer service ethic
